Our Roots
The Clarkston Farm and Garden Club is the Clarkston Branch of the Michigan Division of the Woman's National Farm and Garden Association. Organized in 1914, the Woman's National Farm and Garden Association is one of the oldest women's organizations in the United States. It's objectives have always been to encourage women to cooperate in furthering a closer bond between rural and urban women. It's goal is to help in the development of international understanding and good will among women of all nations.
The Clarkston Branch was organized on October 11, 1948 with 20 charter members and has thrived in the 50+ years since it's inception. This group of diverse women has strong community ties and a commitment to civic service.
